Just west of Ingersoll, there's a rural property with a small, abandoned gravel pit that has a south-facing side that rises from the bottom of the pit at about 30 degrees.  A friend of ours, years ago, planted some prickly pear cacti on that slope and that slope's now covered with a dense growth that, when it's in bloom, is stunning!
